Tourism Action Plan to support the stricken area “Each Hand, Each Voice” Project

We believe that tourism can contribute to recover from the disaster.

Some people may say it is not appropriate to make a trip in such an occasion. Maybe, you should refrain from making trips if you think about the tragic situation or the depressed feelings of people in the area. Tourism, however, is necessary not only for holidays or leisure, but also for connection building by communicating face to face.

At present, in the area which suffered from the disaster, volunteer force is lacking, while people there are asking for communication either with neighbours or people outside the area. Tourism not only brings people or money to the area, but also creates opportunities to build relationships between people, and the place.

This project is aiming to support the stricken area and the people there in the long term through tourism. From the view point of how tourism can contribute to the community, we will take various actions.

Let’s go where help is needed and give a Hand. Let’s go where a friendly chat is needed and talk to them with your Voice. This lone action will cheer up and encourage people in the area. This, we believe, is the value of tourism.

We would appreciate your participation in our Recovery Support Action Plan, which welcomes anybody at anytime, anywhere, and until anytime
